Iris Spear Jewel Bowl Pendant Chandelier

$2,299.00

Iris Spear Jewel Bowl is a hand-crafted fused glass pendant chandelier by Seattle artist George C Scott, a luminous and otherworldly piece that showcases the magical properties of dichroic glass. The wide bowl form glows in a richly textured clear field, across which sweeping spear-shaped dichroic accents drift and arc — shifting between soft lavender, violet, and iridescent blue depending on the angle of light, like the inner surface of a shell or the wing of a dragonfly caught in sunlight. Dichroic glass displays two distinct colors depending on whether light is reflected or transmitted through it, giving this piece a living, ever-changing quality unlike any other.

Iris Spear is part of the Jewel series — a collection of hand-crafted fused glass chandeliers united by their use of luminous accent elements set against richly textured clear fields, each piece evoking the singular beauty of light passing through precious stone.
George C Scott Studios collaborates directly with clients to realize one-of-a-kind lighting in a near-infinite range of sizes, shapes, colors, and patterns — this piece exemplifies that process of custom artistry in glass.

The chandelier hangs by stainless steel aircraft cables from simple stainless steel and brass hardware. Direct-wired fixture uses a cluster of three medium base sockets accommodating three 60-watt equivalent bulbs. Compatible with standard incandescent or LED retrofit bulbs with dimmer (100W max per socket).
