Cobalt Fade is a hand-crafted glass pendant chandelier by Seattle artist George C Scott, and one of the most beloved pieces in the Fade Series — an exploration of color in transition. The cone form is hand-painted by George himself, moving from a deep, saturated cobalt blue at the rim and fading to luminous clarity at the center, finished with a clear glass finial that lets the color speak for itself.
No two pieces in the Fade Series are identical — each gradient is painted by hand, making every chandelier a singular work of art.
George C Scott Studios collaborates directly with clients to realize one-of-a-kind lighting in a near-infinite range of sizes, shapes, colors, and patterns — this piece exemplifies that process of custom artistry in glass.
The chandelier hangs by stainless steel aircraft cables from simple stainless steel and brass hardware. Direct-wired fixture uses a cluster of three medium base sockets accommodating three 60-watt equivalent bulbs. Compatible with standard incandescent or LED retrofit bulbs with dimmer (100W max per socket).
